Moores Clothing opens its doors to the Online World

Moores Clothing is Canada’s leading retailer of men’s business wear. In the 1980s it was started as a single, family-owned store in Canada. Moores Clothing now has over 100 stores in all major cities across Canada. In 1999, it became a part of The Men’s Wearhouse, Inc. (now known as Tailored Brands).

Challenge

  • Moores Clothing website which was non transactional was to be transformed to a full-fledged ecommerce store
  • The site had to be launched in English and French at the same time
  • The site was to provide a quick and a seamless experience to the end users
  • The site was to be integrated into the Tailored Brands ecommerce eco system in the backend and include third party integrations

Solution

  • Implementation of the site was done using Solveda’s headless OSLO B2C starter store linked to HCL Commerce v9.1
  • The store is a PWA enabled Single Page application which is part of Solveda’s OSLO headless store
  • The site provides a lightning-fast customer experience for end users across browsers and devices
  • The site uses Elastic Search to provide enhanced search capabilities for end users
  • To resolve complex backend integrations, a queue mechanism was used to ensure a scalable approach for all downstream data flow
